Arrival in Stuttgart / Ankunft in Stuttgart
During the first stage of the asylum process, you will arrive at public accommodation,
a so-called 'Landeserstaufnahme' (state refugee processing centre) (LEA).
You may have already applied for asylum. The most important authority during this
stage is the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees. This authority's name is abbreviated to BAMF.
Addresses and advice.

You will have spent some time living in your first public accommodation LEA or BEA. You may have already made your personal application for asylum at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). In addition, you will have been registered there, questioned about your travel route to Germany and given a medical examination. You will have received a so-called Aufenthaltsgestattung which does not constitute a visa, but gives you the right to live in Germany until your asylum process has been completed. As you may be subject to police checks at any time, you are required to carry your "Aufenthaltsgestattung" or a copy thereof with you at all times.
In order to enable a fair distribution, the 'EASY' computer system decides which German city you are placed in. In your case, 'EASY' has
chosen the city of Stuttgart. You
will receive a confirmation of this allocation decision, from the Regional Administrative Authority. It is very important that you keep this document in a safe place.
